2 Samuel 22:31 “As for God, His way is perfect; The word of the Lord is proven; He is a shield to all who trust in Him.”
There is nothing else that’s perfect, only God is perfect.
His word compares to no other, and has never been disproved.
He protects anyone who believes and trusts in Him.
Jeremiah 17: 7-8 “Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.”
When you hope and trust in the Lord, you are as strong as a tree by the river who receives nourishment and grows, grows, grows. Water represents the Holy Spirit, and if you abide in the Lord, your nourishment is continuous and limitless. Since water extinguishes fire, you don’t have to worry about the heat, and your life will be fruitful.

Nahum 1:7 “The Lord is good, A stronghold in the day of trouble; And He knows those who trust in Him.”
Trust that God is good!
He is a place of safety for you when you are in trouble!
He is faithful to care for those who put their trust in Him!
“It is better to trust in the Lord Than to put confidence in man.”
Psalm 57:1 “Be merciful to me, O God, be merciful to me! For my soul trusts in You; And in the shadow of Your wings I will make my refuge, Until these calamities have passed by.”
Philippians 4:6-7 “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Is your mind stayed on God?
(Isaiah 26:3-4) “You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.”
We must keep our mind constantly on God. Stayed means: To focus – meditate – remain – trust. Spiritual warfare is continuous, so we must be in prayer continuous. The early church made a decision to place the ministry of prayer and reading of the Word as the highest priority in order to ward off the continuous attacks of Satan. It’s the same today, the onslaught of Satan’s attacks are ever-present and intensifying. We must be determined to make prayer our highest priority, and back that up with the Word of God. Jesus used the Word to defeat Satan, but He prayed first, that is our example, prayer and the Word.
Keep your mind stayed on God, trust in Him and He will keep you in perfect peace!
May God richly bless you,
In Christ – Deane
